Upper Kindergarten (UKG, Ages 5 – 6 years)
By UKG, children are becoming confident thinkers, active problem-solvers, and expressive communicators. Our UKG program is designed to deepen academic foundations while nurturing emotional intelligence and independence.
This stage strengthens skills in reading, writing, math operations, and scientific inquiry — all while keeping the Montessori roots intact. The hands-on Kreedo lab activities bridge the gap between real-world experience and abstract concepts, ensuring that children truly understand before they memorize.
With mixed-age interactions still in place, UKG learners take on gentle leadership roles, reinforcing what they’ve learned by helping others and working collaboratively.
A UKG child’s day includes:
- Reading fluency and comprehension activities
- Sentence writing and vocabulary building
- Advanced numeracy with place value and operations
- Discovery-based EVS themes and nature work
- Creative writing and expressive arts
- Group work and presentation practice
- Montessori practical life extensions
- Physical play and mindfulness routines
